Burn subtitles into video
Embeds captions permanently. Also provides .srt download.
The CreatorHub Video Subtitle Generator automatically transcribes the speech in your video and generates a professional subtitle file using AI. Powered by WhisperX, it delivers word-accurate, timestamped subtitles that you can download as a .srt file for use in any video editor — or have burned directly into the video for immediate sharing.
Three subtitle style presets make it easy to match any visual aesthetic: Classic White for clean and readable captions, Bold Yellow for high-contrast eye-catching subtitles popular on social media, and Minimal for a subtle understated look. The burned-in option runs the subtitles through ffmpeg and delivers a ready-to-share video file.
Adding subtitles improves accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers, helps viewers watching on mute (the majority on social platforms), and improves SEO and watch time on YouTube and LinkedIn.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between downloading a .srt file and burning subtitles?
A .srt file is a separate subtitle file you import into a video editor or upload alongside your video (e.g. on YouTube). Burning embeds the subtitles directly into the video pixels — they cannot be turned off, but the video can be shared anywhere without a separate file.
What subtitle style should I choose?
Classic White works well for most professional content. Bold Yellow is popular for short-form social media (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) where high contrast grabs attention. Minimal is best for documentary or cinematic content where subtitles should be unobtrusive.
What video formats are supported?
Video Subtitle Generator accepts MP4, MOV, and WebM files up to 20MB. For longer videos, compress to H.264/MP4 at a lower bitrate to stay within the limit.
Can I edit the subtitles before burning them?
The current workflow generates and (optionally) burns the subtitles in one step. Download the .srt file first, edit it in a subtitle editor like Aegisub or Subtitle Edit, then use a video editor to apply the corrected subtitles.
How does this differ from Meeting Transcriber?
Both tools use the same WhisperX AI. Meeting Transcriber is designed for audio-only recordings and outputs a scrollable transcript with speaker labels optimized for reading and note-taking. Video Subtitle Generator is designed for video files and adds subtitle style presets and the option to burn captions directly into the video.
